Golf can be a great game for young people and this was underlined when a total of 1,100 primary schoolchildren from Dorset took part in ‘The Big Swing’ on Friday (20th April) – breaking all known UK records in the process.

One thousand primary schoolchildren from Dorset are expected to take part in ‘The Big Swing’ this Friday (20 April) – showing off their new golf skills in an event that is likely to be a UK record.

Get into golf - the national campaign to grow the game - got down to business when it teed off a taster day in the heart of London’s Canary Wharf.

The Golf Foundation has thanked the organisers and delegates present at the Golf Business and Industry Convention (GolfBIC) for a “significant” donation of £4,700, which will help the leading golf charity to make the game more accessible to children from all backgrounds and abilities.

Get into golf, a national campaign to inspire new golfers and support the plan to make England the world’s leading golf nation, has just been launched.
